CineMás: A Latino Film Series
The newest addition to the Coalition’s cultural event calendar, CineMás brings the best of Latin film to Charlotte. With screenings taking place in spring, summer, and fall, each CineMás show will highlight those films that go unseen by most of America. From thought provoking documentaries, to emotional dramas, CineMás shows will you get you thinking, discussing, and understanding more about your Latin neighbors and beyond. Most shows offer authentic food, drinks, and a discussion afterward.

Mateo - At the impressionable age of 16, young Mateo faces a dilemma about the direction his life will take when his corrupt uncle asks him to infiltrate a local Barrancabermeja theatre group to uncover its members' political activities. Selected as the Colombian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Academy Awards, CineMás is proud to present Mateo, a drama directed by Maria Gamboa.
Doors open at 6:00 PM and film beings at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $5.00 (CASH & CREDIT ACCEPTED) and can be bought the day of the screening at the Mint Museum Randolph. Please note: Film is in Spanish w/ English Subtitles.
