The LACCIÓN 2012 Challenge: Todos Juntos
Looking for a way to get involved during Hispanic Heritage month? LACCIÓN is a five week challenge (September 12-October 17) where teams compete through weekly community service projects and fundraising activities to support the critical programs and services of the Latin American Coalition. The team who donates the most time and raises the most money, wins!
The Latin American Coalition, North Carolina’s largest immigrant rights organization, reaches over 50,000 people a year through integration services, advocacy programs and our five annual cultural events. Since our inception in 1990 we have stood for immigrant integration in a remarkable way- partnering with Latino families to create access, opportunity and voice.
LACCIÓN provides networking opportunities with other bilingual professionals, deepens community engagement for affinity groups and Latino employers, and is a great way to support the growing Latino demographic. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Coalition depends on the support of countless volunteer hours and donations from people like you. LACCIÓN is a fun way to get involved and to have a meaningful impact in the city you live in. What would Charlotte look like if we embraced our neighbors?
Together we can make Charlotte a more vibrant and prosperous city to live in.
Still have questions? Attend the interest meeting on July 10, 2012 at 6:15 pm at the Latin American Coalition. RSVP to Bonnie Carter or 704-941-6735.
