The Latin American Coalition invites you to join us for our 3rd annual Fanta Festival! This one-day, highly publicized Cinco de Mayo celebration attracts more than 25,000 children and adults from Charlotte’s Hispanic community, for a one-of-a kind family festival.
The event features internationally known musical acts, celebrity appearances, children’s games and activities and folkloric dance performances. An open-air food court offers authentic Latin American cuisine and the Latin American mercado sells hand-made, imported goods and specialty products.
This family event has already established itself as one of the region's finest Cinco de Mayo celebrations- one you won’t want to miss!

The twenty Annual Latin American Festival - one of Charlotte’s signature cultural events- attracts thousands of individuals from our multicultural community to enjoy local, nationally and internationally known musicians, handmade art and crafts, authentic Latin American cuisine, traditional folkloric dance performances and children’s activities and performances- a true cultural experience for all. November 7, 2010- 12pm- 4pm
Our annual festival Día de los Muertos is a local, intimate recreation of the Mexican Day of the Dead tradition. This colorful and vibrant event is held at the Levine Museum in uptown Charlotte. It features traditional foods, expositions of folkloric arts, crafts and dances, and activities for children. This is our 6th year offering this FREE, all-day celebration and it is educational and engaging for all ages. This is the only Día de los Muertos festival in the Charlotte area and this year we expect to attract more than 1,000 participants from our diverse community.
