Charlotte-NC. The Latin American Coalition's Immigrant Welcome Center provides support to all immigrants seeking help, assisting them in the integration process within the Charlotte community.


Crisis intervention

In association with "Crisis Assistance Ministry", "Loaves & Fishes", "Good friends of Charlotte"; We offer immediate assistance in case of crisis to maintain a home If you already have a valid contract and thus avoid the loss of your home. Community ID

Empowerment and training workshops

In partnership with the Mecklenburg County Courthouse, we hold a Divorce and Custody Workshop every other month at The Coalition. We offer basic and advanced level English classes. Basic computer classes and skills-building classes that connect you with city and county service programs. Visit our Facebook and Instagram pages for information and registration. Domestic violence

We offer support to victims of domestic violence in association with: "Safe Alliance" and "Mecklenburg County Community Support". We help people gain access to: legal support, health services and safety planning. BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT

Resources and References

Our goal is to increase integration and reduce barriers to resources, therefore we offer a variety of referrals to other agencies in Charlotte, for example, Spanish-speaking lawyers and low-cost health clinics, collaboration with the Charlotte school system Mecklenburg, referrals for food pantries and housing crisis assistance when there is a current contract.
