LAC offered a new Resource Fair

Charlotte-NC. The first week of August, the Latin American Coalition hosted the Resource Fair, an event created by the organization to welcome new immigrants to the city.

The fair was held in the morning hours of August 5, it had a large space, where each of the organizations attended to the new families. The showcase of the New Virtual Clinic, the care area of ​​the Mecklenburg Health Department, with basic health check-ups and HIV tests, a vaccination space, Covid-19 reinforcements and activities for children were available in the different rooms. Clothing, groceries, gift cards and over-the-counter medicines were distributed during the day.

It is hoped that this type of event, the new families arriving in the Queen City will feel supported, oriented and accompanied in their adaptation process and thus be able to achieve stability in different areas.
